TBD. Before all this, Alma was a 26 year old working in a bookstore. She'd quit nursing school some years prior. When all hell broke loose, she was in the middle of rereading The Handmaid's Tale for the sixth time. One year on and everyone she knew, everyone she loved, doesn't exist anymore. These days, all she wants is to feel useful to those in the camp. She collects books, especially medical texts, and still hates spiders. She's not a doctor, but she has some training and steady hands and a caring temperament. Alma's also great at patching clothes. Ironically, she's always hated sci-fi. NEEDS: a best friend, a schoolgirl crush, an actual doctor/surgeon to show her the ropes, the realist to her perpetual (false) optimism.
